JMD Helmets Warranty Policy

At JMD Helmets, we are committed to providing high-quality helmets that prioritize safety, durability, and comfort. We offer a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in our products.

What Does the Warranty Cover?

If any manufacturing defect is detected within 1 year from the date of purchase, JMD Helmets will repair or replace the defective product through our distribution network, provided that the defect has been verified by our team.

JMD Helmets will supply the necessary material and labor required to address the defect unless the issue falls under the conditions listed in the section below titled “Limitations of Warranty.”

Limitations of Warranty

The warranty does not cover damage caused by the following:

1. Accidents and Falls

  • Damage resulting from accidents, falls, or external impacts is not covered.

2. Customization & Modifications

  • Any alterations, customizations, or modifications made by the user, including but not limited to painting, adhesives, screws, or technical modifications, will void the warranty.

3. Exposure to Harmful Chemicals & Heat

  • Damage caused by contact with chemicals, solvents, or excessive heat is not covered.
  • This includes methylated spirits or strong cleaning agents used on the visor.

4. Lack of Maintenance & Care

  • Changes or damage to the inner padding and cushions due to prolonged usage or improper maintenance are not covered.
  • If there is evidence of poor maintenance or insufficient cleaning, the warranty will not apply.

5. Abnormal Usage Conditions

  • The warranty does not cover damages caused by unusual usage conditions, including but not limited to underwater use or extreme environments.

6. Sunlight / UV Exposure

  • Paint fading or color degradation due to prolonged exposure to sunlight/UV light is not covered.
  • High-visibility colors are more prone to UV degradation.

7. Paint Damage

8. Inner Fabrics & Liner Wear and Tear

  • Aging, cracks, or damage to the inner fabric or liner due to regular use are not covered.

9. Water Damage

  • Damage to inner fabrics, padding, or liner caused by prolonged exposure to water or moisture is excluded from warranty coverage.

10. Helmet Beading

  • Beading detachment due to wear and tear over time is not covered.

11. Visor & External Parts

  • Scratches, marks, and general wear on the visor and external components are not covered.

12. UV Coating on Visor

  • Degradation or peeling of the UV coating on the visor over time is not covered under warranty.

13. EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) Color Chipping

  • Minor chipping of EPS color due to usage is not considered a defect and is not covered.

14. Helmet Spares

  • Visors, visor fittings, spoilers, cheek padding, peaks, and jaws are not covered under warranty.

15. Physical Damage

  • Any form of physical damage, including dents, cracks, or breakage, is not covered.

Important Considerations for Open-Face Helmets

Our open-face helmets are specifically designed for head protection. They do not provide full-face coverage, and JMD Helmets is not liable for any injuries to the face that may occur in an accident while using an open-face helmet.

Additional Exclusions

  • The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and does not cover:
    • Wear and tear over time
    • Improper care, handling, or storage
    • Subjective concerns such as comfort, size, wind noise, whistling noise, padding noise, aerodynamics, or fit
